Povestea Regelui Lear

„Povestea Regelui Lear” aduce în atenție teme ca puterea, iubirea, familia și consecințele alegerilor făcute, plecând de la povestea unei fetițe obișnuite, Cordelia. Aflată în biroul tatălui, în timp ce se joacă „de-a teatrul”, ea își amintește de o poezie pe care o are de învățat pentru serbare. Atât ideea de a urca pe scenă, cât și memorarea versurilor – pe care își dorește să le recite astfel încât să-și facă părintele mândru – o sperie teribil. Când apare Jester, prietenul ei imaginar, un Bufon demn de universul shakespearian, se deschid uși magice spre lumea celebrului dramaturg. Împreună, vor construi o nouă poveste, din care Cordelia va avea atât de multe de învățat.

Spectacol invitat în cadrul festivalului FITC, susținut de Teatrul pentru Copii și Tineret „Gong” din Sibiu, România. 

„The Story of King Lear” spotlights themes such as power, love, family, and the consequences of our choices, starting from the story of an ordinary young girl, Cordelia. Playing „theatre” in her father’s office, she remembers a poem she has to memorise for a school show. Both the thought of stepping onto the stage and learning the lines, which she wants to recite perfectly to make her father proud, terrify her. When Jester – her imaginary friend and a Fool worthy of Shakespeare’s universe – appears, magical doors open into the world of the famous playwright. Together, they will create a new story from which Cordelia will learn a great deal.
